Vintage Tea and Cakes on Brick Lane!

When my lovely make up artist friend Isobel Kennedy invited me to her vintage birthday tea party I couldn't resist blogging about it. It was such a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon celebrating with the girls drinking Champagne and Jasmine tea and eating Sandwiches and cup cakes.

And to think this very civilized affair took place on Brick Lane of all places, I'd highly recommend it!

Louis Vuitton - Sloane Street in Bloom

This week we celebrate one of London's most prestigious horticultural events of the year The Chelsea Flower show. In response Louis Vuitton's Sloane Street store invited select customers to pop by after the flower show to come browse the Spring Summer collection. The current collection is very much in keeping with it's flower prints and soft summer colours and also in store Guerlain had a delightful display of perfumes to sample in beautiful bottles. Before leaving guests had the pleasure of selecting flowers from a stunning array of blooms that were made into a bouquet for them to then take home.

With the sun shining in through the windows, the gorgeous scent of perfumes in the air and an incredible selection of flowers on display it really was the most delightful after party to any flower show. I was even lucky enough to get given a bouquet myself!

Rebel on the Row - Tommy Nutter Exhibition

The Tommy Nutter exhibition opened in style last night at the Fashion and Textile Museum with Cilla Black and Ringo Star in attendance to add some true British sparkle.

When Nutters opened in 1969 on Savile Row, the staid and traditional world of bespoke tailoring entered a new era. Tommy Nutter, with master cutter Edward Sexton, combined up-to-the minute styling with classic techniques to create the brand that set the Row swinging. The shop - financed by Cilla Black, James Vallance White, and Beatles’ executive Peter Brown – opened up the experience of bespoke tailoring; catering to rock stars, artists and aristos who wanted to custom fit with the new shapes and details pioneered at Nutters.

I definite must see for any lovers of great tailoring, the exhibition includes suits worn by Cilla Black, The Beatles, Mick Jagger and Elton John to name but a few!

Catch the exhibition this summer at the Fashion and Textile Museum, London

Introducing New Lingerie Label - Ryder and Rowe

Last week I had the pleasure of shooting the very first images for new lingerie brand Ryder & Rowe. Their first collection launches this season, taking inspiration from the life and work of F Scott Fitzgerald.

The feminine collection consists of girly chiffons and embroidery with Art Deco detailing and prints, and features everything from soft cup bras to thongs, camisoles playsuits and chemises.

The new brand is offering three different ranges; Tender is the Night, designed by Naomi Ryder, features printed chiffon and satin in sexy silhouettes; This Side of Paradise uses floral embroidery and subtle colours, creating comfortable lounge wear; and The Beautiful and the Damned consists of satin and tulle pieces, including satin stitching, that embrace 1920s cityscapes.

Girls I will be posting and tweeting more information about Ryder and Rowe in the next few weeks including stockists details and contact info they are definitely a brand to look out for.

Louis Vuitton Art Walk - Miro at The Tate Modern

Last night Louis Vuitton held an Art Walk event for a selection of guests at the Tate Modern.
Guests were treated to a privately curated tour of the new Miro exhibition on the 4th floor of the Museum as well as a selection of caviar and salmon canapes with Champagne.

The exhibition itself is fantastic and is Joan Miro's first major retrospective here in London for nearly 50 years. There is a huge body of Miro's work on display spanning six decades of his career.

It's a beautiful exhibition and the view from the 4th floor of the Tate over the river is quite something as well!
